Alumni
Recent alumni of Franklin University (those that graduated from Franklin) are able to keep their email account and Self Service access after finishing their degree. Alumni email accounts from long ago may no longer be in existence, which may also affect access to Self Service.
- While Alumni will retain email access after graduation, access to other Microsoft services may not remain. To learn more, click here.
- Franklin University reserves the right to terminate alumni accounts and access to Self Service at any time for any reason, and we cannot guarantee that accounts and/or access will remain active permanently.
Former Students who did not graduate from Franklin University
Former students of Franklin University are able to keep their email accounts and Self Service access after they are done taking courses for up to 1 year (potentially less). However, Franklin University may periodically prune old accounts and/or access for students who did not graduate the University prior to the one year mark.
- While former students that did not graduate from Franklin University will retain email access for some time, but not indefinitely. To learn more, click here.
- Franklin University reserves the right to terminate non-current accounts and access to Self Service at any time for any reason, and we do not offer extended account lifespan once a student finishes taking courses without graduation.

If Your Student Account Is Still Active
1. You can head to https://password.franklin.edu to recover your password.

2. You should still be able to access your email by logging in at https://email.franklin.edu
3. You can log in to Self Service at https://selfservice.franklin.edu to retrieve your unofficial transcript.
If Your Student Account is Inactive or Terminated
1. You will be unable to access your email or any prior course material.
2. You will be unable to log in to Self Service to access your unofficial transcript. However, you can still order an official transcript or contact admissions if you are thinking about finishing your degree. More information about obtaining transcripts can be found at the link below:

Microsoft Email and Microsoft365 Account Access
Franklin University's staff, faculty, adjunct faculty, student, and alumni email accounts are licensed through Microsoft email. However, not all licenses retain the same level of access. Please use the criteria below to help explain access levels based on user groups. Upon moving to a new user group (such as from active student to Alumni), access changes may not be reflected instantly, but will likely soon be as shown in the list below.
Full Access - Email, Access to Microsoft Office, OneDrive Storage, and more:
- Students currently enrolled in courses
- Actively teaching adjunct faculty (within the current term)
- Actively employed full time and part time faculty
- Actively employed staff members
Limited Access:
- Recent Alumni (those that graduated from Franklin)

- Adjunct faculty that have active accounts, but are not teaching within the current term

- Adjunct faculty who fall into this group can still access online version of Office365 Applications such as Online Word, Online Excel, and Online PowerPoint. Click here for further details.
