Audience: Anyone with a Franklin University issued Office365 email account.
Disclaimer: The results and functionality of the following article only apply to your University issued Office365 account, and do not apply to other email accounts.
There are 2 methods to configuring your University email on your iPhone or iPad:
The Suggested Method - Downloading the Outlook app:
1. Find the Outlook app in the App Store (by Microsoft Corporation) and download it.
2. Open the app and select "Office365"
3. Sign in with your university email address and password
- firstname.lastname@franklin.edu (Franklin staff/faculty)
- username@email.franklin.edu (Franklin student)
The Alternate Method - Using the default Mail app on your device:
If you are a staff or faculty member, please sign in with your Franklin account at https://office.com Then complete the process for creating an app password. You can find instructions at this link.
- Go to Settings
- Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars
- Select Add Account
- Select Microsoft Exchange
- Fill out the following fields:
- Email:
- firstname.lastname@franklin.edu (Franklin staff/faculty)
- username@email.franklin.edu (Franklin student)
- Password: the app password you created before starting this process
- Description: whatever you would like to name the account (defaults to "Exchange")
- Email:
- Select Next, and at this point, your account may be verified automatically and you are done. However, if it does not, you will need to proceed to step 7.
- Fill out the following fields:
- Server: m.outlook.com
- Domain: leave blank
- Username:
- firstname.lastname@franklin.edu (Franklin staff/faculty
- username@email.franklin.edu (Franklin student)
- Select Next, and your account should now be verified. You may customize which aspects of your account to synchronize, and then you are finished.
