As part of the University’s ongoing data security efforts, we use email message banners to mark messages sent from outside the Franklin University organization. These banners visually cue the recipient that the message is from an external sender and can also provide a stronger warning when there is a potential problem with a message such as the message’s sender not matching the name displayed on the message.
This general external sender banner is a reminder to handle links and attachments carefully especially when the sender is unknown:
