Important
Quarantined emails are a security feature where suspicious email is kept out of your inbox.
If a quarantined email is indeed spam or junk email, you do not need to take any action. The email quarantine has kept the harmful email from your inbox.
When in doubt about the validity of the email, please DO NOT take action to release the email!
However, if you wish to view a list of all of your currently quarantined messages from the last 30 days, you can navigate to the following site:
Hint: If you do not see the emails listed, you might need to navigate to Email & collaboration > Review > and review Quarantine emails.
Here you can see a list of any emails that were quarantined from the last 30 days.
When in doubt about the validity of an email, please DO NOT take action to release the email!
However, if you recognize the email as a valid email (by reviewing the sender’s email address and reviewing the email subject), you can perform the following actions:
1. Release to Inbox: sends the quarantined email to your inbox
2. Contact the Help Desk for next steps.
- While you may see the option to release the email, the Help Desk will also need to review the email to show up in your inbox. They will need contacted for the email to show up in your inbox.
When in doubt about the validity of the email, please DO NOT take action. Simply leave it in the quarantine folder and the message will eventually be deleted permanently. Emails older than 30 days in the quarantine state will be inaccessible and have been deleted.
