Franklin University’s Information Technology Department is aware of a nationwide security incident involving Canvas, the university’s learning management system. We are actively monitoring updates from Instructure and assessing any impact to Franklin University.
This is a vendor-driven, nationwide event affecting multiple institutions.
Canvas remains operational for our students, faculty, and staff.
Updates from Instructure, the parent company of Canvas, are available on their status page. We will continue to monitor the situation and will provide updates here if more information is uncovered.

| Turnitin (in Canvas) | There is a Turnitin disruption as a result of the April 30th Canvas service error. Update: Turnitin is now working as expected in Canvas. For any assignments that didn't have a report from April 30th to May 4th, instructors can click "Resubmit for Plagiarism Review" and refresh the page to see the Turnitin report. |
