When a student logs in to the Advanced Accounting Microcredential Portal (AAMC) by navigating to https://aamc.franklin.edu/ in a web browser, they will see the following home screen. This document will explain each section of the home screen and how it is used to plan and register for courses.
Section 1 - Registration
If Stay Enrolled is selected, the student will automatically be registered for the course sections that are selected in the Course Plan section when the register date occurs. If Take a Break is selected, no registrations will automatically occur even if the sections are added to the course plan.
Section 2 - Account Information
This section lists the student’s ID, contact information, and current balance. There are also options for adding funds (if the student needs to retake a course and pay an additional course fee) and requesting a refund (this option is only available if the student has not yet registered for courses, or is within the first two weeks of their first course in the program).
Section 3 - Course Plan
This section displays courses that are currently planned for the student. If the register date passes, and the student is in Stay Enrolled mode at the top Registration Intent section, the student will automatically be registered for that class. The start date indicates when the class section begins.
Section 4 - Course Schedule
This section displays the courses that the student is currently enrolled in. This section can be used to drop a course if needed by following the instructions as shown.
Section 5 - Completion Status and Course List
This section shows the progress towards the completion of the program in the form of a percentage. The eight courses needed for completion are also listed, with one of several statuses:
- Sections Available – this course is not currently scheduled and the student can click on the course for a detailed description of the course and options for a start date. The student can check the section they would like to register for and click “Confirm,” and the section will be added to their Course Plan.
- Planned – this course is already scheduled. If the student wishes to remove this course from their plan, they can click on the course and choose the option to do so.
- Repeat Required/Optional – the student received a low or failing grade for this course and should/must repeat it. This course can be scheduled using the same method as the first time it was taken.
Courses with a Complete status will show the letter grade received and will count towards the completion percentage of the overall program.
