Ross Auditorium: Touch Panel for Audio/Video Controls
Touch anywhere on the Welcome Screen to begin. When prompted, press Confirm Power On.
Next, you will see the Home Screen.
On the left (as shown above) are options for video routing sources to display via the projector.
Podium PC - University Owned Computer Installed at the Podium.
Choosing Podium PC will display the desktop PC that is inside the podium.
- If you choose this option, audio is already feeding from the PC into the room and to participants who are remotely attending the event (such as when using Teams or Zoom).
Guest Laptop Hookup
If you have a laptop, you will want to connect it via the HDMI cord that is at the podium, and select the Guest Device option
Guest Camera and Streaming Audio: If you are streaming the event from your device and need remote participants to hear you or if you need access to the cameras:
- Plug in the USB cable that is at the podium
To make sure your audio is connected properly (instructions and screens may vary for non-Window 11 laptops):
- Click on the volume button on the taskbar
- Click button on the right side of the volume bar
Select the E5100 (HD Audio Driver for Display Audio) option.
By default, the podium microphone will automatically be on, if you wish to mute it, use middle button that says Mute Podium Mic at the bottom of the screen.
To switch between cameras, adjust camera angles, or to zoom-in/zoom out, use the menu at the top of the screen labeled Camera.
Within the camera menu, you can switch between Camera 1 and Camera 2.
Camera 1 points toward the stage.
Camera 2 points toward the center of the room from the stage.
When The Event Has Concluded
When finished with the room, use the power button in the upper right hand menu of the panel. Then click Yes, Shutdown”.
After shutting down the power on the touch panel (instructions directly above - screenshot below): No other audio/video equipment in the auditorium needs to be shut down, including the podium computer. If you were using any handheld or lapel microphones, please return them to their charging docks. All other audio/video devices stay as they were when you entered the room.
