Objective
It is important that all users know how to sync their SharePoint documents (Department Shared Files) to their work computer(s). Syncing these files will allow for easier local manipulation, easier creation, and easier uploading. Note that users must be running Windows 10 (1709) to use this feature. Below you will find details and instructions on how to complete the syncing.
- Navigate to SharePoint
- Search for or open the SharePoint site that you would like to sync (We will use Training Sandbox as the example)
- Select the Documents, or any other folder you want to sync, Library from the left-hand side
- Now select Sync on the top menu bar
- You will be asked to open Microsoft OneDrive you can accept and select "Open Microsoft OneDrive"
- Your files will begin to sync and will be available in your File Explorer shortly
- Note synced SharePoint libraries will be placed under the Franklin University OneDrive location
- Note synced SharePoint libraries will be placed under the Franklin University OneDrive location
