Recent changes to the Email system for Franklin University were enacted as part of our ongoing security. You may have already started to receive Microsoft quarantine notification emails. The quarantine email notification will allow you to see the email sender and email subject.
If you wish to view a list of all of your currently quarantined messages and their expiration dates, you can navigate to the following site:
Hint: If you do not see the emails listed, you might need to navigate to Email & collaboration > Review > and review Quarantine emails.
If a quarantined email is indeed spam or junk email, you do not need to take any action. The email quarantine has kept the harmful email from your inbox.
When in doubt about the validity of the email, please DO NOT take action to release the email!
However, if you recognize the email as a valid email (by reviewing the sender’s email address and/or reviewing the email subject), you can perform the following actions:
• Release to Inbox: sends the quarantined email to your inbox;
• Report as Not Junk: sends a copy of the quarantined email to Microsoft as to allow messages like this to get through to your inbox in the future.
If you agree with the determination that the message is spam or junk email. Simply leave it in the quarantine folder and the message will eventually be deleted permanently.
When in doubt about the validity of the email, please DO NOT take action to release the email!
If you try to use the spam notification email to release an email after it has expired and been deleted from the quarantine, you will receive the following error message:
